B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, College of EME (2008-2012)

Q) How did you join OMV, what was the process?
Trainee Engineer Positions was advertised with eligibility criteria of 3+ GPA. Test was conducted and shortlisted candidates were interviewed. I was not shortlisted in the 1st interview cycle. However I got the interview call later.

Q) In your opinion, which key qualities did you have which enabled you to join OMV?
Team player, initiative and supportive.

Q) What have been some of the key achievements of your professional life & student life so far?
My current position speaks volumes of what I have accomplished so far. I have always followed the path which supported me in bringing my dreams into reality for goal without plan is just a wish!

Q) Did you work at some other company before OMV? If so, then which was it? What about internships?
Yes I  have worked as internee in Descon and Nespak.

Q) What are the best parts & not to good parts that you have experienced in your job?
There are equal opportunity drives, “Being treated as a girl, is good and bad both. Good because you get the opportunity to be the first drop of rain in and playing your part in bringing about gender diversity and equal opportunities. Had I been a boy, opportunities would not just have walked up to me.
Cons: no matter what, middle management would still treat you as a female or some fragile specie. So sometime we have to go beyond what we are supposed to do, just to prove what we are capable of.

Q) What advice can you give to others who want to join OMV?
OMV believes in “MOVE and MORE” so we get the chance to see changes in team often. Those who want to join in, well they must
1. Keep their eyes open for any kind of upcoming position.
2. If they get selected, they should not rethink.
There is ample space to grow. It’s a good place to develop your professional personality because of effective interaction at all levels. The open door policy aids in development of skills.
